Background

SanDisk is the original inventor of flash storage cards and is the world's largest supplier of flash data storage card products, using its patented, high-density flash memory and controller technology. The Sansa e200 Series MP3 players are the flagship products of SanDisk's audio line. GreySF, a digital marketing communications agency, manages SanDisk's media buying and planning and partners with Undertone Networks to accomplish its campaign objectives.

Objectives

•		Increase sales of SanDisk's Sansa e200 Series MP3 players.
•		Boost awareness of the Sansa e200 Series MP3 players among men and women in the 18-34 year old market.
•		Drive traffic to SanDisk's website to encourage consumers to learn more about the products, find a retailer or buy directly for SanDisk.

Strategy

•		Research and Analysis ReDirect, Undertone’s behavioral targeting technology, helped increase the campaign’s efficiency by ensuring RadioShack’s ads were served to consumers who had previously shown interest in RadioShack. RadioShack’s ads followed interested consumers throughout the Undertone network.
•		Demographic Targeting In order to reach SanDisk's target audience, Undertone analyzed demographic and psychographic data to determine which websites and channels have the highest 18-34 year old index. With this information, Undertone strategically placed SanDisk's ads in highly targeted and visible locations on premium websites.

Results

•		Undertone produced top performance results including twice the industry average on click-through rates.
